At Answers Systems we are pretty proud to be celebrating two big wins this year: our 25th anniversary and our honor as a company named by the St. Petersburg Times as a Top Workplace in Tampa Bay. A big part of those wins are our people. On Fridays we've decided to feature some of them so you can get to know the people who make Answers Systems work.

Yesterday, I sat through a very well presented Webinar on “SKU Rationalization”. The subject matter was presented by a great professional in our industry who was basically right-on about a subject matter that has become a big issue across most manufacturers. The presentation dealt with SKU Rationalization from a position of “surgery rather than preventative medicine.” I certainly understood the presenter’s approach because SKU rationalization, for the most part in our foodservice industry, occurs after the cart-is-in-the-ditch and decisions then need to be made as to the “longevity of a SKU.” But how does a manufacturer get into this...

A hot button topic that began a few months ago- and continues to be a topic of conversation- is the removal of toys from McDonalds Happy Meals in San Francisco, California and it looks like this issue will not be going away any time soon.
The placement of toys in Happy Meals was initially challenged by a Sacramento mothers’ class-action law suit. A family prepares for months before taking home a new born baby. At the end of April, Answers Systems will be adding street coupons to the ContractPro® family. For several months now, Answers Systems has been doing the essential research, providing adequate support, and conducting diagnostic tests to ensure feature enhancements allow street coupons to be just another type of contract through ContractPro®. Up until this April Release, Answers Systems has processed street coupon claims...

Wow, I’m amazed how far technology has come in recent years. As I type this, I am cruising on a SouthWest Airlines flight headed west. I have spent the morning glued to email and have responded faster to email in the air than if I was sitting with both planted on the ground surround by the craziness that is an office environment.
With so many miles traveled annually, like most business travelers, I signed up for every frequent flyer program I could find. I’m currently signed up to receive hotel, car and, of course airlines rewards. I do not...

As we get older, we gain new knowledge, become more experienced and realize that staying healthy will require us to do more than when we were younger. The right diet, exercise, vitamins and regular doctor visits are all part of the regimen we need to consider for sustaining good health and maintaining a positive quality of life for longevity. Similarly, trade spend management can draw many parallels from this mind set for creating a sound framework and functionality of Answers Systems contract solutions for foodservice. Just as your healthcare provider completes a patient history to better understand how...
