Working On Answers

Posted by Jennifer Grumbling

When it comes to trade promotion, foodservice manufacturers have some pretty distinct challenges when it comes to contract management. Here at Answers Systems, we have an entire team of Account Managers that handle specific client accounts and try to alleviate those challenges. Our clients are some of the world’s top brands (scrolling sidebar): Answers Systems Clients (I will finish my horn tooting in a moment.) Over the past 23 years that we have been transforming trade promotion data into trade performance strategies and have been leaders in the field. Our leader, President and CEO, Bud Hilton has been a recognized figure in the industry for more than 40 years, and his experience and vision have lent to the progress that Answers Systems has seen as a leading TPM provider. This is clearly evident with our ContractProÒ and ValuTrakÒ products.  Yes we do have answers, a lot of answers. However, we still have questions.

OK, I am done tooting our own horn…now on to the questions.

Now, there’s one thing that you always need no matter how much of an expert you are in any industry, and those are the answers to the questions your clients or customers are asking. And you must ask your clients and customers questions to find out what they need. Sometimes you don’t have all the answers; sometimes you never even knew there was a question. Can you see where this blog is headed?

So, as a foodservice manufacturer what problems do you face when trying to address trade promotion management issues

What is your organization’s biggest obstacle? Pendings? Lack of accurate and reliable data? Contract compliance?

How is your relationship with your sales force in relation to your TPM?

And here’s a biggie…If you could change anything about how your trade promotion management is handled, what would you change?

If you had access to a resource that contained proven best practices in the trade promotion management industry, would you use it and adopt it and adapt to it?

I told you we had a lot of questions! Take a moment, think about these, does something strike a chord with you? Let’s talk about it, leave a comment below or stop by one of our social media pages and leave a discussion thread, we want to hear what you have to say. We want to hear YOUR answers!
